Initially, Persol specialised in eyewear for pilots and racing car drivers, with the annual Mille Miglia race across Italy a focus of their work. After developing a strong reputation in this sector, the brand soon branched out and, by the 1960’s, had carved out a significant niche in the fashion sector. Before long, their appeal became international. Having caught the attention of screen Legend Steve McQueen, Persol became on of America’s best-loved brands. It remains so to this day, only now Persol sunglasses are seen on different celebrities, including Beyonce.
